H.D. Goswami’s 1988 Vyasa Puja Offering to Srila Prabhupada

“I offer my respectful obeisances unto His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord Krishna, having taken shelter at His lotus feet. Our respectful obeisances are unto you, O spiritual master, servant of Sarasvati Gosvami. You are kindly preaching the message of Lord Caitanya-deva and are delivering the Western countries, which are filled with impersonalism and voidism.”

Srila Prabhupada once emphasized that love begins with obedience. Love for Krishna grows through obedience to the merciful command of the spiritual master. Srila Prabhupada, the towering founder-acarya of Lord Caitanya’s own ISKCON, has given us a simple, sublime program. It is perfect for our own Krishna consciousness, and it is perfect for preaching powerfully to the lost souls of this age. And we must simply obey him.

This is my understanding of all things, and I pray at the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada to increase and strengthen this transcendental knowledge, and to thus fix me forever as a truly humble servant of His Divine Grace. There is nothing more or greater to desire. And to achieve such mercy is the greatest of all acquisitions.

His eternal servant,
Hridayananda Dasa Goswami
