The following lecture was given by H.D.Goswami on August 26, 2011 at the Los Angeles Mythological Roundtable of the Joseph Campbell Foundation at the home of Joyce Alexson in Los Angeles. H.D.Goswami was invited to the roundtable as a distinguished guest, to explore and question Joseph Campbell’s ideas on language and mythology from the perspective of Vedanta, India’s most influential metaphysical tradition.
